Artist's statement:

I am an award winning artist. I like to produce paintings that look fantastic from a distance, but as you get closer and closer you are delighted by more and more detail being revealed. This is not to say that I am after photo-realism, as much pleasure can be gained by appreciating the artist’s brush strokes.

Such intricacy means that it can take an hour or more for me to paint an area the size of a small postage stamp. Most of the time I use a number 1 brush. I will occasionally use a number 2 for washes. All this means it can take four months to complete a painting.

I pretty much paint whatever inspires me, from flora and fauna, to aircraft and anything slightly quirky in a thought provoking way.
