Artist's statement:

I trained as an architect at Kingston School of Art in the 1950s. While design and construction were core disciplines I chose to study in an artistic ambience and architectural illustration went hand in glove. Along with my RIBA I acquired an FSAI and became President of the Society of Architectural Illustration. I have chosen my images for the web page to show that form and structure underlie all my artwork whatever the subject. I have no preference for medium or style, often mixing them and being always on the search for something new (to me). Currently liquid acrylics and collagraphs are my enthusiasm to explore any space. I conduct workshops which usually include such matters but often in relation to other artforms and design theory.

John Pumfrey, Hearns House, Gallowstree Common, Reading, RG4 9DE
