Pauline Twyman has been a member of RGA since the 60s. She trained at Reading University school of fine Art under Professor J Anthony Betts and graduated in 1958. After a lifetime of teaching adults and children she continues to exhibit her oil paintings and has recently held a solo show in the Fire Station gallery in Henley. Her search for colour, light and pattern in the environment never ends. Her main sources of inspiration come from the rolling hills of South West France which are home to glorious fields of sunflowers, whose ever changing life cycle fascinates as they finally disappear into vast machines which gobble them up. Then it all begins again the following year!
