I was probably born with a pencil in my hand and it's been there always. I am driven by line and mark making; for me the mark comes first, colour next then texture.
Over the years I have worked my way through both tender and the wild confident marks, from botanical drawings to mighty stage sets. My works have been noticed, overlooked, rejected and sold. The notion of having my work hanging in another's living space is not my aim but quietly comforting when a work is sold.
My plan is to continue to get excited by a new piece of painting paper.
