Following a Fine Art Degree at Reading University, Nina had a career as an illustrator of natural history and of children’s book illustration, she then retrained as an Art Therapist.

Now fully retired Nina is a full time Painter in oils and a Batik artist. With oils the effects of light on colour and form and water reflections in all seasons are her endless inspiration.

Her love of Batik, using vibrant dyes with hot wax resist satisfies Nina’s preoccupation with the art and colours of the East which she has visited many times. The abstract nature of this artwork also provides her with a means of expressing her thoughts and feelings about current world situations, particularly the climate crisis and its impact on our now fragile Earth.
