Picture of the Month for September 2022 is Ethereal Ammonite by Wendy Hodges. It was chosen from the Members Gallery by Jenny Atkins.

I once saw some of Wendy’s series of art works on ammonites in an exhibition and was enthralled by them. Her use of mixed media was incredibly well executed as was her attention to detail. I also love ‘Ethereal Ammonites’ for the way one’s attention is drawn first to the centre, then follows the spiral out through the lighter colour tones to the darker outer ones. Well done Wendy!
