Maria draws inspiration from a variety of subjects and would describe her style as expressionist. Her preferred media are watercolour, pastel, and acrylic and she especially enjoys plein air painting. She has exhibited in Harrow, Reading, Henley on Thames, and more recently in Worcestershire at Croome Court and No.8 Art Gallery Pershore, where her painting WR8 was awarded first prize in the 2024 annual show.
