Earley Painters are untutored sessions hosted by Clare Buchta and Carole Stephens who provide a still-life display to work from. All abilities, newcomers, and non-members are welcome. For further details please contact us.

Spring 2025 Programme

January 14th Winter Scene 
Timely winter painting incorporating natural objects and rubbings. 
Acrylic, watercolour, oil pastels, crayons, pencils.
January 28th Musical instruments
A still life incorporating musical instruments for inspiration, any safe medium suitable.
 February 11th Printing and collage
Create your own collage papers and arrange them into a land or seascape. Equipment, paper glue provided. Bring acrylic paint and old brushes, newspaper and table covering.
February 25th The Old Chemists Shop
Fascinating objects from a bygone era. Glass jars of many colours, medicine bottles, cameras. And more. Any safe medium suitable.
March 11th Marine Life
Dive under the sea to explore the wonderful world below. Any medium suitable, watercolour and ink may be appropriate. References available and a display for inspiration.
March 25th Africa 
A display of objects from the African continent. Looking at pattern and shape. Any safe medium suitable.
April 8th Tulip Mania
Tulips and Spring Flowers will provide a colourful display for your interpretation. Any safe medium suitable.
April 22nd Teddy Bears Picnic
Bring your favourite Ted to join in the picnic and provide a humorous display for the last Earley Painters until September. Tea and cakes!
KEY INFORMATION

Where: Maiden Place Community Centre, Lower Earley, RG6 3EH
When: 1.30 – 4 pm.

£4 per session, cash please payable on the day, no booking required. Parking is available on-site. There is a code entry system at the hall. Please contact us for the code.

What to bring

Please bring your own materials: dry and water-based mediums may be used, such as watercolour, acrylic paints, pen and ink, pencil, and crayons, plus your own preferred supports and sketchbooks. We recommend you also bring along a plastic table covering or newspaper, cloths, or paper towel.
