I love to work with watercolour and ink to express emotion or experience. My work tends to be non-figurative, exploring the possibilities of different marks, materials and tools. Recently I have been thinking about connections to others and communication. My career began in a water testing laboratory after gaining a Biology degree in 1990. I later studied Graphic Design (gaining ISTD membership) and pursued my artistic curiosity on a variety of short courses, including those at SLADE School of Fine Art, Central St Martins, Newlyn School of Art and St Ives School of Painting. I won the RGA’s Marie Dyson Award in 2009 and had work accepted into the RWS Contemporary Watercolour Exhibition at the Bankside Gallery in London in 2018. Please contact me via my website if you have any questions.
