I am a local artist and printmaker working from my home studio and the print room at South Hill Park. My work is influenced by graphic design and illustration and is characterised by a central characterful image that tells a simple story conveying what I see and feel about a subject. I am naturally drawn to the landscape as well as birds and animals as my subject simply because I love the shapes they create and the feelings and emotions they invoke.

As a painter I enjoy the immediacy of acrylics and work in short series allowing me to explore different ideas around a subject. My printmaking centres around Collagraph intaglio techniques, using recycled materials such as Tetra Pak, where I design and create a plate, hand ink it and then print on specialist paper using a printing press. As with my painting I often create a short series of related prints in limited editions which are numbered and signed.
