I gained my NDD in 1965 from the Byam Shaw School in London. In 1981, we moved to Toronto where I became a member of Gallery 306, an artists’ co-op group. We moved back to the U.K. in 1996 and now live near Checkendon.
I like to paint places I know well and am inspired by nature, in particular water – rivers and lakes. I compose from a number of sketches and quick colour studies. I work mainly in acrylic though I like to venture in to other mediums. Once launched, I follow the way the painting is developing rather than sticking closely to the studies.
