‘Here Comes the Sun – Harrison in Henley’ sparked off plenty of creative activity among RGA Members. The Exhibitions team was very excited by what was shown – both two and three-dimensional artwork. Whether focusing on the life and interests of George Harrison – his music, his spirituality, charity work (the Concert for Bangladesh in 1971) or his love of landscape gardening – or the many and varied aspects of Henley town itself, there is plenty of inspiration. The Henley Royal Regatta, the Annual Festivals, the River Thames, and the local landscape have all inspired artists over the years. We enjoyed the artworks that members of the RGA created, in celebration of George Harrison – the man, his music, and his life – especially whilst he lived in Henley.
