Exhibiting Member

Elizabeth Baldin

I trained at Bristol Art College, where I qualified with a BA (Hons) in graphic design. At the end of the course, I moved back to Berkshire and for many years was employed as a book designer for a major publishing company. Having always devoted as much of my spare time as possible to painting and drawing, in 2011 I decided to become a full-time artist and began to exhibit my work. I have taken part in a number of successful exhibitions in and around the Reading area since then.

I work in most media, but currently I am working with inks, watercolours and acrylics which I use to create atmospheric landscapes and seascapes. My aim is to capture the light and atmosphere of the surroundings, often at dawn or dusk and particularly in the Lake District and the Scottish Highlands and Islands where the views are so inspirational and dramatic.
