Thérèse has lived in Reading for over 30 years and uses the town and her allotment as inspiration for her work. She develops paintings from sketches she makes on location around the town in ‘concertina’ sketchbooks. She trained as a graphic designer, and after a career in local government, she is now painting full time.

Before Lockdown she was working on a new project featuring old Reading scenes. During Lockdown she was commissioned to do a retirement concertina showing ‘Reading throughout the seasons’ and used the Lockdown time to do a ‘Lottie Lockdown’ book too!
