Although my normal art practice is printmaking I am always interested in investigating new techniques. Underpinning all my work is drawing and, together with photographing and generally observing the world around me, I build up a stock of colours, textures and ideas. I don’t tend to have a particular image in mind at the outset; rather there is usually a catalyst, from which finished pieces evolve and emerge.

I have recently worked on fabric, constructed a vase of sculpted flowers from a book, printed with rust, and have even made my own paper – making paper from credit card statements is particularly satisfying!
