Picture of the Month for January 2025 is Wren’s Nest by Helen Watson. It was chosen from the Members Gallery by Mick McNicholas.

There were many works by RGA members I could have chosen, but I was captivated by Helen’s acrylic ink painting. The intricate delicacy of the brushstrokes, and the beautiful shifts in colour in the bulk of the nest kept me mesmerised by the beautiful balance and construction of the image. I hope the original will be exhibited with the RGA at some point, I could easily spend hours looking at it.
