Picture of the Month for July 2024 is Serenity by Sri Nambiar. It was chosen from the Members Gallery by RGA President Fiona Talkington.

“Charcoal has my heart and soul”, says Sri.  I sense her feeling of joy in using her charcoal in ‘Serenity’, a woodland scene, the sound of charcoal on paper matched by the rushing stream, the feathery strokes she talks of rustling like the trees.  Using charcoal is like a duet between the medium and the artist, it has an energy of its own, and I’m drawn right in to this  magical moment in nature.
