Picture of the Month for March is I meet my friends…. [‘Meow’] by Tizzy Cottingham. It was chosen from the Members Gallery by Thérèse Lawlor.

Tizzy has written, designed and painted the most beautiful children’s book called ‘Meow’. One of the paintings “I meet my friends…. [‘Meow’]” is my choice for picture of the month for March.

This book captivated me from the moment I first saw it. The illustrations on each page are beautifully designed with a disappearing cat in each one. The typography is very clever and an integral part of each image. Searching for the elusive cat on each page means you study the whole painting. 

It’s a delight, and fast becoming my ‘go to’ present for young children’s special occasions.
