Picture of the Month for November 2023 is Tidal Road Bosham by Linda Graves. It was chosen from the Members Gallery by Robert Fitzmaurice who said:

This work caught my eye as I know Bosham and recognised the view immediately. I like this work for the knifework that describes all the elements and space with great economy and the larger areas of cold blue-grey and pink that have been laid down roughly to evoke a bright but brisk day. 

Although the material approach is quite different there is something in this composition that reminds me of Chinese landscape painting with two small figures subsumed by landscape. A quietness prevails.
